Hello everyone and welcome to this edition of the inspired call, Tuesday, April 20th. I am happy and honored to have Melissa Sledge as our special guest today. I know you all probably already know her pretty well! She is Penmarc’s very first director and maybe the first employee besides Alex Anderson!
She is our Director of Field Support, which means she probably hired and onboarded most of you and certainly trained you on Cruxos! She takes care of our fleet, coordinates all of your travel, and is in charge of our B2B and Avera/Laren business.
She hosts the inspired calls at once a month. She sends out cards to show you our love & sympathy when bad things happen in your lives as well as support and congratulations for the good things! On a personal note, she has helped train and support me from my first day and I have really enjoyed getting to know her and I thought you all might like to get to know her a little better too!!PLUS, today is her birthday!

It’s so nice to get a chance to talk to you today! I thought it would be fun for the team to get to know you a little better. It’s funny how at work you can talk to people every day but you don’t always know a lot about them! I’d love to hear a little bit about your work history with the Rosewood Family! I know you didn’t start at Penmarc!

You are good at so many things at Penmarc! The thing that I am eternally impressed and amazed about is your ability to make things work on the schedule! I can look at it and see exactly zero options but you look at it, juggle 22 things and poof, we’ve got availability and can make this install happen! And the way you just retain information and rattle off jobs and installer schedules! It’s so impressive!!! But what is your favorite aspect of being the Director of Field Support?

- Avera – single & double drawers – single drawers must be installed on the bottom, otherwise, space is left open.
- All issues must be called into TCS while you are on site. Sometimes it’s easier to email when there is a lot of missing or damaged products but you must call into TCS, tell them what’s going on, and let them know you’ll be following up with an email recapping or with more details. Please also cc your coordinator distro so we have a record of the communication as well.
